As a student in the EMI training program, you will learn from instructors who are qualified and experienced within their respective fields. In addition to our regular faculty, the School invites other successful professionals from around the world to impart their knowledge and experience to our students. Our faculty places an emphasis on relevant instruction to help students meet real-world challenges.
Rev. Gray Temple
Rev. Temple is a retired Episcopal priest who currently serves an Episcopal parish in Munich, Germany as an interim rector. He also manages a church consulting firm. Gray was a parish priest for 38 years, 31 spent as the rector of a suburban Atlanta parish, St. Patrick's. Gray's parishes remain well-known for vibrant worship, robust outreach and mission projects, and widely-distributed lay-ministries.
Dr. Kathy Ducan
Dr. Duncan is an Assistant Professor at the University of La Verne's Masters in Leadership and Management program, where she teaches classes on organizational change and conflict, groups and teams, diversity in the workplace and others. She also has over 20 years of experience in healthcare as a manager and educator. Kathy is known for her nightly interactive style and use of humor her teaching.
Rev. Sandra Turnbull
Rev. Sandra Turnbull lived most of her young life in Central and South America with her missionary family. After receiving a call to ministry, Rev. Sandra obtained a Biblical Studies degree from Evangel College and then served as a missionary with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). After returning to the United States she received her Master's Degree from the School of Theology at Claremont. She is currently the senior pastor of The Glory Center in Bellflower, California.
Rev. Donald Pederson
Rev. Donald Pederson was ordained in UFMCC in 1975 and served as a Pastor for MCC Los Angeles and later as the South West District Coordinator for 14 years- providing spiritual direction to churches in Arizona, New Mexico, California and Nevada. He received a B.A. in Biblical Studies and focused his graduate studies on Church History and Theology. Rev. Don is currently the Chaplain for St. Joseph's Medical Center in Burbank, CA.
Rev. Janet Parker
Rev. Janet Parker founded Maranatha Fellowship MCC, in Houston Texas. Rev. Janet's gifts of teaching, preaching and leadership have provided a springboard for training and empowering others in their walk with Christ. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from Louisiana State University in New Orleans and had an 18 year career as a Physical Therapist before entering the ministry full time. Rev. Janet is the proud mother of three children.
Janet Robertson graduated from Glasgow Bible College, Scotland and went on to serve 8 years with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Holland, India and Nepal. Janet moved to the United States to pursue a degree in International Business. After working a number of years in Finance, in 2000 the Lord called Janet to plant a church in Taiwan and since that time Janet has been a full time Church Planter. She and her partner Sandra Turnbull founded Encounter Missions International as a church planting ministry.
Rev. Samuel Kader
Rev. Samuel Kader is the senior Pastor of Glory of Christ Community Gospel Church in Dayton, Ohio. Rev. Samuel began to pastor in 1980 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and later accepted the pulpit at MCC Melbourne, Australia for two years. He has been a guest speaker for conferences, ministry training schools, colleges and churches. Rev. Samuel is the author of the book "Openly Gay, Openly Christian," describing how the Bible is gay friendly.
Dr. Yi-Bao Chang
Dr. Yi-Bao Chang, (also known by her English name Diane Chang) grew up on the island of Taiwan where only 3% of the population know Christ. Having received Christ through the ministry of the YMCA, Diane proceeded to bring her entire family to the Lord. Diane has a Masters in Bilingual Translation from the University of Westminster, London, England and a Phd in Gender Studies at the University of Hualian, Taiwan. She is currently a professor at the Taizhong University in Taiwan. She translated Rev. Sandra Turnbull's book "God's Gay Agenda" into Chinese.
Pastor Denise Lord
Denise Lord has been a Church Planter for Encounter Missions International in Taiwan for 14 years. She and her partner, Diane Naegele founded two churches, raised up local pastors and trained church leadership. Denise learned the importance of financial management when she found herself, divorced, jobless with three small children to raise. It was through this difficult life lesson that Denise learned God's principles of finance.
